- Program (can vary according the climate and above all the trails conditions) :
Day 1 : Arrival at Ulaanbaatar (UB). Tour to the city and visit of the Gandan monastery (the largest monastery of all Mongolia still in activity. Built in the 19th century) and of the National museum of History (from prehistoric age to recent history).
Day 2 : Route from UB to the Amarbayasgalant monastery. Gorgeous monastery located in a small, green valley in the Selenge region (North of Mongolia). Overnight in a tourist camp (average distance : 380 km).
Day 3 : Route from the Amarbayasgalant monastery to Erdenet, Bulgan, Urantogoo : region of extinct volcanos. Overnight in tent (average distance : 250 km).
Day 4 : Route from Urantogoo to the Khovsgol lake (largest lake fresh water of Mongolia, located near the Russian border). Overnight in a guest house in the Khatgal village (average distance : 265 km).
Day 5 : Day spent on site. Horse riding and hiking near the lake shore. Visit of the reindeers breeders. Overnight in a tent.
Day 6 : Route from the Khovgol lake to the Moron city and Tumurbulag. Overnight in a tent (average distance : 170 km).
Day 7 : Route from Tumurbulag to the “White Lake” Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur (pretty lake located in a steep-sided valley near an exctint volcano). Overnight in a tourist camp (average distance : 173 km).
Day 8 : Day spent on site. Overnight in tent.
Day 9 : Route from the White lake to the Tsetserleg city and the Tsenkher hot springs. Overnight in tent (average distance : 210 km).
Day 10 : Route from the springs to the Tovkhon monastery (located on the top of a mountain, pretty view on the surrounding valleys) and to the Orkhon waterfalls. Overnight in tent (average distance : 200 km).
Day 11 : Route from the waterfalls to the Karakorum city, the ancient capital of the Mongolian empire. Visit of the famous Erdene Zuu monastery and route toward Khogno Khan Uul. Overnight in a tourist camp (average distance : 150 km).
Day 12 : Route back to UB. Overnight in UB (average distace : 280 km).
Day 13 : Day spent in UB. Visit of the Bogd Khan’ Winter Palace and the Zanabazar museum. Traditional show of dance and songs.
Day 14 : Transfer to the airport and departure from UB.
