Our Trips

Travel with us to Mongolia :

Ciel Mongol for a real and true journey !

We offer different tours (horse tours, trekking tours, motorised tours) to discover the country, the folk and the culture.

You will be given the opportunity to wander through Mongolia either in unusual or conventional ways : horse escapade, discovery of the history visiting the high archaeological places of the country, stay with countryside families sharing thus their everyday life.

We, Ciel Mongol, strongly wish to make you discover Mongolia and to let you unforgettable memories. As a result, we conduct our tours in the respect of the country, the culture and the environment. We are very concerned about fair tourist activity. Through our stay-with-locals-tours, families are allowed to:

-          broaden their income;

-          face natural disasters such as “zud”;

-          finance collective projects;

Families are therefore willing to keep living in the countryside.

This year we, Ciel Mongol, have decided to finance the construction of a pen for cattle. This pen is dedicated to the collection of forage in prevision of the harsh winter months. Families with whom we work hence can sell the forage to other families near Olziit (Arkhangai aimag).

We are also very proud to have concluded partnerships with both Mongolian and international NGOs whose aim is promoting  sustainable development of tourism.

We are hence working with:

-          the Rencontres au Bout du Monde association (to promote fair and solidarity tourism);

-          the Bat-Orshikh foundation (to allow jailed women to reduce their sentence while selling felt handicraft and receiving a small salary; to allow poor children to go studying at University)

-          the Unagan Orchin association (to protect and to conduct environment awareness projects – we participated in the cleaning of the Tovkhon monastry from trashes and wastes).

Nicolas Bouvier (French writer) in L’usage du monde (extract) :

« Leaning back on the hill, we are looking to the stars, the distant movement of the ground going towards Caucase, the phosphorescent eyes of the foxes. Time is spent with boiling hot teas, few talks and cigarettes. And then it is dawning, quails and partridge are part of the new arising day… and we hasten to memorize this supreme moment deeply in our head, where it will be reminded, like a dead burden. Weighting less than a kilo, we are stretching, walking a bit: the word “happiness” sounds so scant and so particular to describe what happens.

The essence of life is not family, or job career or what other think about us. It is eventually these spare moments of nature, lifted up by an even lighter levitation than love. And life sparingly dispenses us with these moments commensurate with our little heart. »
